This agreement is for business owners to give to their employees (ideally at the same time the employment agreement is signed) to protect company products, trade secrets, client information, and other sensitive information. It also precludes the employee from working for or together with direct competition.
This type of agreement (which is also referred to as a non-disclosure agreement or “NDA”) is used before hiring an employee to protect company trade secrets and procedures. Employees can also sign this after they have been hired…so don’t sweat it!
